Even though the management of the Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB) usually announce and release a kinda generalized cut off mark for all Institution types in Nigeria, All schools have the right to reject Cut off Marks specified by JAMB for them and set their own Cut off point.

To score high in JAMB, you will need to start preparing for very well by knowing the topics you need to read using JAMB Syllabus For All Subjects Here.

After writing JAMB and the JAMB results having been released, the next step is for candidates to apply for admission into their respective school of choices. But, before applying for admission into a particular school, the candidates must have had a JAMB Score that is up to the one required by the school (Cut off mark).

Having knowledge of the cut off mark for each school or for the school you applied to will guide you on the next step you need to take concerning applying for admission either in that school or to another school.

See JAMB Change of Course And Institution Procedures Here and JAMB CAPS Admission Status Here.

Some of those steps may require you changing your course or institution into another school that your JAMB score accommodates their cut off mark.

Apart from JAMB Cut off mark, we also have Departmental Cut off mark which is handled and released by each school depending on the department in question.

Note: JAMB Official cut off mark for 2017/2018 which was 120 for Universities, 110 for Polytechnics and 100 or less for Colleges of Education may not also apply for this year 2018/2019 as each school decides their own Cut off point.
