What JAMB 2019 CBT Is All About
JAMB is an acronym for the Joint Admission and Matriculation Board. This is a body in Nigeria that is in charge (with the responsibility) of conducting entrance examination into higher institutions in Nigeria.
According to Wikipedia, The Joint Admissions and Matriculations Board (JAMB) is a Nigerian entrance examination board for tertiary-level institutions. The board conducts entrance examinations for prospective undergraduates into Nigerian universities. The board is also charged with the responsibility to administer similar examinations for applicants to Nigerian public and private monotechnics, polytechnics, and colleges of educations. All of these candidates must have obtained the West Africa School Certificate, now West African Examinations Council, WAEC, or its equivalent, National Examination Council (Nigeria), NECO.
This means that after finishing Secondary School in Nigeria and you are ready to further your studies in a higher institution which can either be a University, Polytechnic or a College of Education, you need to pass through the JAMB Entrance Examination called Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME).
